We Talked It Over

Listen to poem:
Sometimes I wonder, how it all went so wrong
The love that we shared, had felt so very strong
We made it through good times, made it through the bad
You were the first love, that I ever had

Why cant our hearts stay together as planned ?
Cant you tell me darling ? Please help me understand
Why not lets try again ? Our love can conquer all
Left here without you, my world seems so small

(Chorus)
We talked it over, and now our love has gone
We talked it over, how can I go on
We talked it over, you still said goodbye
We talked it over, my heart wonders why

How I need your arms, to hold me close at night
and I need your lips to keep our love inside
and I need your eyes to see me through each day
Left here without you, there's nothing left to say

(Chorus)
We talked it over, and now our love has gone
We talked it over, how can I go on ?
We talked it over, you still said goodbye
We Talked it over, and my heart wonders why
We talked it over, I've no tears left to cry

Thanks John, I wrote this and the other love poems 20+ years ago. I think you have to truly feel heartache to be able to find these words & to control the anxiety. For me it helped to write it all down, and yes you are right time is a great healer, thankfully finding the right man for me conquered all in the end :) Happy New Year to you too and thank you again for your lovely supportive comments!
