We Speak of God and Country

We Speak of God and Country

We speak of God and country
Here's what I have to say
You're welcome here to worship
Whatever is your way

Can preach all that you want to
About all that you can
But you have to toe the lawful line
That's presented by the man

It's called the Constitution
Been around since we began
This country and its freedoms
It's time we took a stand

If the tenants of your religion
Conflict with what is written there
The Constitution supersedes
If you live here and you care

Don't think the Constitution
Let's you believe in all you will
To break our laws with impunity
I think our country's had it fill

If you believe in other laws
In action or in name
Then go to another country
Where your beliefs and their's the same
