We Shall Meet Again
My dearest love, Judy dear
I’m thinking of you and us
It was happiness year after year
All too soon those years have passed
We did recognize each other
From the very beginning though we
Were afraid to hurry up further
For about a year or three
In the 2020, the pandemic year
Was it in June, or in May?
You told me I love you and I said my dear
I love you too – since that day
We were close together, my darling
Every bird on your fence sang for us
Our evenings, nights and mornings
Flickered by so extremely fast
Little did we know, my sweetheart
It’s a year ago today
Your passing set us apart
Now your lovely ecards I play
Reading your words, full of love
I know we shall meet again
Can’t say when, but there’ll be sun above
Later that day there’ll be rain..
