We See What We Want To See

I thank the man who invented the Ferris Wheel Something so romantic, amusing and adventurous It takes you closer to the stars and let’s you see the sea Take a ride, else you won’t understand the fuss Children jump and hop and yell with joy At the sight of a big circle they can ride From miles away, it’s as small as a toy From miles away, an amusement park’s pride The journey to reach the top So long, yet so beautiful Don’t look down if you’re afraid you’ll fall Enjoy the view, so blissful Up and Down, Up and Down Until it’s finally time to get off “So long my friend”, but you don’t frown Because years later with your lover, you’re back on top 1 June 2021 We see what we want to see Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Daniel Turner
