We Laughed
The sound of laughter,
The tears of joy,
We laughed at the silliest things,
We laughed ourselves to sleep,
We laughed at every moment,
We both grew up and lost our sense of humour,
Life got more serious,
Time split us apart,
The kid inside us is hiding,
We wish we could be kids forever.
