We Found the Christmas Tree

We found the Christmas tree in the woods down the road, it was perfect in size only five-foot tall, I pictured it in our small and cozy hall. Cut from its base and placed on the sled, we carefully slid it all the way home, shaking off the snow and placing on a stand, a far cry from its winter wonderland. Tinsel and baubles hang from its limbs, making it look festive with lots of warmth, colorful and tiny lights twinkle so brightly adding to the ambience for us nightly. Bought a bag of scented pinecones, spread them on the bottom of the tree, pleasant woodsy air adds to the holiday flair, until we hear our kitty bat the cones with dare.
