We Don'T See Things As They Are

"We don't see things as they are, We see them as we are. " -Anaïs Nin Its all about the perspective And depending what mood we're in. When joy is what your feeling And Lady Luck is on your side Your more likely to see the good in things It'll make your smile real wide. But when life becomes much harder And things become real rough We tend to see the worst in things Being happy is real tough. We don't see things as they are, We base it on how we feel. Our mood effects everything, And makes things feel very real. If it's a grey day, or were are feeling blue Our answer to, "Good morning" Might be, "it's only good for you!" We might see things a bit differently If our mood is happy and light Because things are going our way And our future seems real bright.
