We Don'T Need No Stinking Poetry Contests

“We don't need no stinking poetry contests.”
There now I said it, I needed it off my chest.
I try to write something bright and elegant,
but I forgot the other word for cross-dress.
I seriously believed, I do confess,
I had the memory of an elephant.
Now, if I enter your contest,
are you going to award me another N/A.
If so, why should I bother to enter your stinking contest
for another N/A.

LOL Your poem gave me a much-needed laugh, Eve. Guess we all hate the N/A. Maybe it should be changed to A/B for also beautiful? Very clever! Love, Carolyn
