Notes About The Poem

I  Corinthians 15th chapter describes it best, as it is the inspiration behind my writing this poem, as I imagined many will be searching for their loved ones in homes where they are expected to be, and are not there anymore.

We Dont Live Here Anymore

WE DON’T LIVE HERE ANYMORE

We rise to our waking,
our faces are raised,
we leave behind our garments of tears
for garments of glory and praise!

All of the cares of this world,
quickly fall to the floor,
the heavenly Ark soon closes,
Now we don’t live here anymore.

We leave behind the godless,
whose consciences are severed and seared.
Who's deeds gross more and more wickedly,
Than each day before, year to year.

He that is therefore now holy,
let him be holy still,
The shofar sounding the bridegroom coming,
Our awaited moment now revealed.

With the voice of Gabriel the ArcAngel,
With a shout commanding aloud.
We are then all gathered together,
upon that Heavenly glorious cloud.

They shall then run to and fro,
they shall all mourn, fear, and weep.
Their loved ones have seemingly disappeared,
in the hour of their slumber and sleep.

Run now to Jesus, is the plea of my heart,
before His Grace closes the door,
As you may soon find there’s no more time,
and we don't live here anymore.
