We Don'T Have Forever

WE DON’T HAVE FOREVER

“I’m sorry to have to tell you this”, is how it all began.
These words that fell upon us like a damp and chilling rain.
So we need to live the best we can for all that time allows,
‘Cause we don’t have forever; we’ve only got right now.

The saddest part is knowing that there’s nothing to be done,
But giving God the glory for the battle to be won.
No special cure; no miracles, just faith to carry on.
Knowing that you’ll always have His arms to lean upon.

We won’t have forever, to see our dreams come true.
We’ve only got a little while to do what we want to.
Today is all that’s left for us; we’ll make it last somehow.
‘Cause we don’t have forever; we’ve only got right now.
