We Can

We cannot hear the silence of the deaf,
they see things in a different key.
We cannot see the darkness of the blind,
they hear things made from memories.
We cannot feel autism's fears,
they know its truths far more than we.
We cannot scent a spruce tree bow,
and not recall a Christmas tree.
We cannot taste those born emotions
until we dream ~ until we're free...
