We Are the Beauty, We Are the Earth

I know women of worth
the name of human they earn
gems conceived in their fertile earth
how for their company souls yearn!

I know women of wisdom
human beings of character and spirit
for each, home is a kingdom
a wealth of beauty to inherit.

I know women of grace
the divine gift not just a feminity
It’s the merit to belong to human race
Love and compassion, their natural affinity.

I know women of endurance
exhaustion and pain ignored
their strength inspiring assurance
ever giving more than they can afford.

I know women of poesy
a universal voice in black and white
what stems from them is rosy
thoughts and feelings, a beacon of Light.

I feel I haven’t all said
on women, not as a gender
of great women, their path I didn’t tread
In them I hail humanity as a wonder!

Mother Theresa, Prime Minister Indira Ghandi, Margaret Thatcher to name but a few - your poem is a tribute to all of these women, how proud they would be of you, but on 2nd thoughts they must know from where they are! Pashang Salehi August 28, 2020 at 11:39 PM This is very nice my dear friend. I know Freydoon Rassouli, he is my country man. I know his art... His work is kind of miniature painting similar to Hossein Behzad another artist from my part of the world. Behzad's painting are now worth millions, but he died very poor, never sold any of his paintings. Some of us are stupid, including yours truly. I believe you are not writing about women's rights or gender equality as much as you are about both genders living up to their potential and abiding by shared attributes: valor, resilience, respect, compassion, justice, hope, mercy, love. If both sexes lived up to these ideals, there would be no gender gap or inequality.
