We Are Connected
WE ARE CONNECTED
There’s a thread that runs through each of us
And also out to others, across all of humanity
It provides common linkage for us to connect
But it’s sometimes thin and difficult to detect
And at times, can even challenge our sanity
Yet any shared understanding is a real plus
When sensitised, one feels the slightest pull
A tug from one, ripples across to another
Although complex messages rarely decoded
The significance of human contact is loaded
Perhaps strongest between child and mother
Friendly communication can be so wonderful
The existence of memes is well understood
Sent across the ether at the speed of light
Feelings and emotions stronger when shared
Offering evidence that someone else cared
All mankind as one entity, just feels right
And we all must try, knowing we should
