We Are As One

If ever two were seen as one
Then surely it is you and I
If by some chance we would ever part
I’m positive that I should die

I prize our love more than mines of gold
Or any of the riches that the world holds
My life, my eyes, my head, and my heart
Have belonged to you from the very start

If ever a wife loved more a man
I know not where she could be
Methinks myself the only woman
That could ever truly love thee
