We Are All Afraid

For sure we’re all afraid sometimes.
Afraid we might not earn the dimes.
Afraid that we might not fit in.
Afraid we might succumb to sin.

Afraid we might not look the part.
Afraid someone might break our heart.
Afraid that we will one day die.
Afraid to fail, afraid to try.

Why do we fret? Why do we fear?
Afraid will always reappear.

Sigh: 'Afraid to fail; afraid to try.' Sums up the last 1/2 of my life, and unfortunately describes the first 20+ years of one of my three sons to date. Fears can truly doom us. So, like you said, Ron, WHY?! Much food for thought here. Cheers, Gershon
