We All Have An Animal Guardian
We all have a familiar, the little witch was told.
She had heard it from relatives, both young and old.
Maybe it is a wolf with a ferocious howl.
She suspected of course it was her friend the owl.
The owl observed her through her window at night.
His feathers got ruffled if she moved out of sight.
She moved her bed under the window and the moon.
Where she and her guardian were always in tune.
I wonder who it is, the others asked each other.
It worried her father, brother, sisters and mother.
Don’t worry, her mystical grandmother said with a wolf howl.
I have a feeling it is between her and her owl.
