We are two together as one

We are a team on the field of life

We stay when they expect us to run

We conquer misery and overcome strife

We hold hands to strengthen our bond

We are steadfast in our fight

We go the distance and beyond

We’ve made it to mornings light.

We give thanks for today

We wait for tomorrow

We invite friends over to stay

We’re together in times of sorrow.

We stand united through it all

We’re here no matter the cost

We are here to break each other’s fall

We remain standing despite our loss.

We ride together into the sunset

We awake to see another sun rise

We smile joyfully with eyes so wet

We still after it all are still side by side.
