Ways To Die

She sees him through her window He's standing right outside The darkness always finds her There's nowhere she can hide There's nothing left to save now She's been through this before He always steals the sunshine But she can't take it anymore The flowers are all dying No water left to drink No green here, there's no colour It's swirling down the sink Her heart is beating fast now There's knocking at the door She's starting to feel seasick She need to find the shore She sees it in the bottle Of pills left by the sink She'll have to do it quickly She's got no time to think She sees it in the razors They all feel just the same The metal's cool against her skin One swift swipe ends the pain She sees it at the station While waiting for the train She's standing there upon the tracks 'til she becomes a stain She sees it in the strangers Who pass her in the street A bullet, knife or bare hands Left dying obsolete She sees it through her window She's finally found a way She steps out on the ledge To reach a brand new day She always seem to see it When at night she shuts her eyes It haunts her when she's sleeping The ways that she could die

Taide, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) We are Lucky To Have you. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@
