Waves of Serenity
The waves of serenity
Crash onto my peaceful shore
With fierceness that overwhelms my soul
Sinking deep into the sands of time
Washing away all that is bad
The sting of its salty waters
Burns my every pore
Cleaning the residue of life
The warmth of the sun above
Covers me in its light and protects
Touching me with the love of the spirit
And mending my tortured heart
Life brings its violent kiss
