Waves of Despair

October 01, 2012
-------------------
Darkness surrounds me day and night
Thorns shrouding the light
Through the thicket can you really see who I am
Or do you only pretend to understand

Whispers haunt me in the midnight
Say my name, calling to me though they're out of sight
quiet the words of hate
before it's all too late

quiet the words of hate
quiet the words of hate

Drown me under the waves of despair
Their words coming in pairs
"sadness""wake-up""BECCA!" screaming
invading, infecting my mind, am I dreaming?

Drown me under the waves of despair
Drown me under the waves of despair

For cat's sake, keep your head above water! This is a frightening verse! Always, Laura
