Waves

I ride the rolling, curling waves Hoping for a miracle that saves The losses I see, in the distance From what is brewing, this instance Somehow, sailors seem to be blind To the shore they can’t seem to find The waves get larger by the day But I know what I see, on my way The biggest hurdle, is unable to save Many in trouble, maybe to their grave The sun may keep shining, all around But, what about pleading to be found? These waves certainly will not stop Learning to ride is like seeing a backdrop Still finding a way in travels to have fun Whatever the theme, a play has just begun Heidi Sands 11/3/21

Every day has its new (and old) challenges. The waves keep rolling . We must roll or succumb. That’s life. But if we try we may just find friendship, advice, help, love and understanding along the way. But we must continue to try somehow to battle the waves and maybe just perhaps rise above them. A thoughtful well written piece, Heidi. Thank you.

Waves you describe are alike hurdles in life that sometimes dim the shoreline of hope. I like the positive turn in the ending of your poem, Heidi.

Yes, many waves in times like this Vijay, but we can always have hope and do our best to have gratitude. Thank you for your kind comment :)
