Watercolor

Listen with your eyes
Squabbling hens fluffing up their feathers
A fox sneaks up on the fence line - wise
The tractor beams on the side - weathered
Crows caw as they fly through the branches

The grass crunches under the farmers feet
He has a Mossberg in his hands lifted
He plans to fire off a shot - the sheep bleat
Old Betsy is lowing from the barn - calf gifted
Flies buzzing around her tail

A breeze whistles through the trees
A few Orioles are woke flapping their wings
The fox gets the hint - flees
When the wife spots him leaving - sings
The night now up in commotion
