Water
We are mostly made up of you even though we cannot see
You cleanse our body and quench us when we are thirsty
Wars are fought over you even though you fall from the sky
Some parts of the earth are in abundance while others are bone dry
When we see you over a fall we take pictures to keep for another day
When you come in a giant wave we ask God to take you away
We can baptize are young with you and anoint our ill
You can nourish our seed and make food for our stomachs to fill
You hold our fish and keep them alive
Without you we simply cannot survive
Sometimes you can be a nuisance and cause great strife
But we search are universe for other signs of you because you are the essence of
life
