Water
"Water"
That which is forgiving
And so much a part of living,
Meanders through all life
With little twists and turns,
Never seeking more,
Void of desire, yearns.
Softly flowing,
Seeping everywhere,
With a lack of purpose,
Yet, with purpose beyond compare.
Caressing all it touches,
Gently meek and mild,
But a force to reckon with,
Should it so be riled.
A cradle of life
In every new beginning.
A keeper of all life
Swirling, still, or spinning.
Without its presence
Life could never be.
Nothing would exist,
The sky, the earth, the sea.
The matter that does matter
To each and all of us,
Would be lost, pointless,
Just drifting, useless dust.
