Watching the Inevitable Slide
Lie like you never believe that the truth is intrinsic and fortune awaits you
Sleep like a boulder unless you push crisis the way you confess, you
Slip into paranoid fractures of sunny days pushed by the moon in her prism
Toil like silver spun floss and defend all your ways in the bitter sweet heat of sarcasm
Dance like a lunatic shaking with laughter and all that's incredible
Stretch out your hands 'till the rainbows bend low and are frosty and edible
Crawl back on bended knees to find your lost conscience card
Drown me in crocodile tears as repentance is far too hard
Flip on a dime to berate all that's pure in you
Give up your soul but don't expect me to do it too...
