Watching Birds In a Garden
The bird feeder is abuzz in May
Solo and duets all day
With the morning sun so gay
Birds painted with reds green
And brown do have a say
Flowers blooming with song
As my thoughts dance along
Both flit away with ease
As if caught by a breeze
Chatter I hear from the trees
An excited buzz among the bees
I hold that smile on my face
As my eyes dart in a chase
I feel they speak as they fly
You can hold me as long as you try
With your seeds and your eyes
As we flee to dive into cloudless skies!
