Watch Me As I Leave

Come I tell you who I am, because clearly you have no idea
I am the girl whose happiness you completely turned to fear
I am the girl who always been there, when her heart you’d rip apart
The girl who is the same girl you met right at the start

The girl who was always there when you needed her the most
No matter if you were far away or even very close
I am the girl in whom you always could confide
The girl from whom your biggest fear you didn’t have to hide

I am the girl who loved you, like no one ever did
To whom you could bring any problem, knowing she would fix it
I am the girl who never ever stopped showing you she care
And sometimes she needed you simply to be there

I am the girl who had your best interest at heart
The girl who loved you when you didn’t love yourself, every single part
I am the girl who sometimes needed you
Pushing her own problems aside, because you needed this girl too

I am the girl who never ever expected way too much
No diamonds, no pearls, just a little love
I am the girl who’ve been there when no one really cared
You could pick up your phone and know this girl is always there

I am the girl who motivated you, to do the best you can
And when you wanted to give up, she’d tell you to try again
I was always positive, when you were being negative
I am the girl who always pointed out reasons to live

I was the love in all your hurt and pain
“Don’t give up love I tell you today, the sun will shine again”
I am the girl in whom the best wife you could find
But this girl you tend to often leave behind

So this is me, the girl who never ever changed
And today of you unfortunately, I can’t say the same
After all these years, you didn't appreciate what you had in me
And because of your own doing, watch me as I leave
