Wassup Poetry Soup

I thought I’d write a limerick
(As sonnets now just make me sick)
But can’t for all the friggin’ rules
That always trip up southern fools;
So, thus, a couplet has to do
For me to say what’s next to you:
Howdy, Soupers, guess who’s back –
It’s Phil, the convict “poet” hack!
Free at last aft’ 90 days
Spent missing all through orange malaise;
I'm finally here (and glad to be)
Where brilliant friends live poetry.

Hello.  :)

This poem had me laughing soo hard, Phillip. I agree w/Daniel ... been there, done that. I hated having to watch out for the morning drunks. But I am in perfect agreement w/your sentiment ... never again. Such a cool poem, my friend.

I can definitely do without the pumpkin in my life for awhile. My mom did send me a few of your masterpieces and They certainly went a long way towards lifting my spirits in a down time. Thanks Jan!
