I tried to be what you wanted,
But it wasn't meant to be
I tried to be the mother they needed,
But it wasn't meant to be
I tried to be her daughter,
But it wasn't meant to be
I tried to be the sister,
But it wasn't meant to be
Everything you needed,
But it wasn't meant to be
I'm sorry I'm not the one,
But it wasn't meant to be
