Was Never Mine

Thought I had her
Felt great and happy
Was thinking I was the happiest guy
Twas a big dream come true
And I lived in it

Thought that was it
Felt real important
Was a time of my life
Twas a big thrill that I enjoyed
And I loved it

Thought you were mine
But just realized 
Had all been a pretense
You’ve torn my heart apart
I’ve been deceived

Thought that was it
But that wasn’t all
Had never won your heart
You lied to me
I’m destroyed
