Was It God Or Was It Fate

Was
                                                    it god
                                                 or was it fate?
I confess I am not sure.

That uneasy feeling would not leave
Though I had pitched my tent there
In that exact spot so many times before

                                                      Was
                                                     it god
                                                 or was it fate?
I confess I am not sure.

What was it that forbade me sleep
Who made my spine feel that icy chill
Who or what encouraged me to rise?

                                                      Was
                                                     it god
                                                  or was it fate?
I confess I am not sure.

The rock that smashed into my tent
Fell from over one hundred feet above
Someone or something watched over me.

                                                       Was
                                                      it god
                                                  or was it fate?
I confess I am not sure.

                                          Whoever or whatever it was
                                                    Thank you.

gosh, Daz, is this a true story? If so, I would say you are blessed with a guardian angel. My hubbie thinks he has one. He tells me he nearly died a few different times!! Sure enjoyed this one too.

ooh we are both writing about destiny and fate at the same time Daz - now that I find spooky. The poem sent a chill down my spine - I love the way you have structured it and the repetition. Hugs as ever Jan xxx

When the hidden hands help, it is a wonder from where and why it happened. Good write, makes me think of many of the times wierd stuff like that happens.
