Was It a Dream

when darkness falls and time stands still
when all else fails and your nan falls ill
when flames of war polute the atmosphere
when you cannot take the alcohol
when you popped those pills and cant ask for more
when punk music is all you hear
when table turn and salutes your fears

spider monkeys in the winter breeze
politians slinging lies and sleeze
the ferrari in miami vice was a fake
and the sheep never jump over gates
when love is lost over trival things
when love is found we sing sing sing

if pain had a name it would be the pope
when you feel pummeled brain full of dope
when water dosent taste like it oughter
when canada has the bomb and you had your car key all along
when children cry its santa claws
and when its too cold to stay indoors

spider monkeys in the winter breeze
politians slinging lies and sleeze
the ferrari in miami vice was a fake
and the sheep never jump over gates
when love is lost over trival things
when love is found we sing sing sing

when the bbc ruled the world
when a free mans voice could not be herd
when wwe was real not scripted
when the di vinci code was not decrypted
when lara croft knocked at my door
and i would never have to hoover the floor
then i awake from this terible dream
and there you are
