Was He a Rebel

~ Was He a Rebel? ~

 Was he a rebel
    a son from hell
 He left his father's home
    for a destination unknown

 Took his childless bride
    and his nephew aside
Said that his essence in order to know
There was no choice, God told him to go

To leave his home and his homeland
To find out what kind of man
       he truly could be

By now his name you may have guessed
That's right - He was Abraham
~ This was his first of Ten Tests

He was being led, and he was wise enough to be led. Few are.

It's the path to Greatness, actually --- moving out of one's Comfort Zone, however much it may seem like it will end in disaster... ~ Psych 101 Instructor

Abraham, The Friend of God. He truly knew God and because of his faith God Blessed him and promised him that his descendants would be as uncountable as the sands or the stars of the heavens. And it's true today. He made a great nation of him. Israel. Excellent Gershon. Love it. A fave for me. God Bless, JB

Not many have the courage or wherewithal to do that, but Abraham set out and things worked well for him, for the most part. Good poem, GW.
