Warrior
I've stared addiction in the eye
I've fought the fight to live or die.
I slew the demon, now I'm free
Addiction has no hold on me.
I grabbed my devil by his horns
I clawed and scratched, bloody and torn.
I grew weaker, day by day
Addiction wants the final say.
I gave up time and time again
Addiction's beaten stronger men.
I decdided to give it one more try
This time I knew it was do or die.
I stared my demon in the eyes
I called him on his half-baked lies.
It wasn't easy, but I prevailed
Where tougher men than I have failed.
I'm telllin you that now I'm free
The demons lost their hold on me
If I can do this, anyone can.
As I said I'm not the strongest man.
