Warren Jeffs is Wrong About Polygamy

It seems impossible a man with ideas so odd
Would ever be selected as a spokesman by God
Religious freedom is the claim .he’ trying to make
To believe it, an awful lot of gullibility it’d take

For those who, the Bible claim that they believe
Should know that God gave to Adam only Eve
It’s true no specific law multiple wives did forbid
And that’s exactly what some of the people did

The claim that polygamy is or was God’s command
A high level of proof we would have to demand
When Jesus came to earth he set that matter straight
Only one wife was God’s will is what he did relate

To be a church leader, some qualifications came before
Such a man could have one wife, but not ever more
Look at some more arguments about polygamy below
Warren Jeffs is mistaken and that for certain I do know

Reason #1: Two or more unrelated adult women living under the same roof will never get along even if they are “sister wives.”  

Reason #2:  How many people can afford more than one wife?

Reason #3:  If men take multiple wives, there won’t be enough women to go around and that doesn’t seem such a good idea.  

Reason #4: May I invoke religion in a flip way?  Consider the verse, “No man can serve two masters.”  Enough said in itself.
