Notes About The Poem

Warm Wednesday

daytime in August
in the middle of the week
scents of lavender

the sun came golden
on dinnerplate dahlias
blooming in all hues

afternoon August
weekday wandering in sun
in the jasmine boom

Great sensations in this gem of a poem. Unfortunately lavender does not grow in our soil. Great poetry. ~~

I am sure your area must boast many other exotic blooms besides lavender. Not only did I write this on a Wednesday, but I was also born on a Wednesday, according to my mother. Thank you for the warm words. :=)
