War Poem

The noises of the war cry in my ears Suddenly I remember all of my fears A man yells next to me, “Grenade, Grenade!” As I run, I wish I were home drinking the sweet, sweet taste of Lemonade Oh, I hope I do not die I do not wish to see my family cry As a man is shot down next to me I think, “When will the war get me?” As I fight for America, The brave, strong, and true Thousands are dying for the Red, White, and Blue
