War On Me

We have been down this road so
many times before.

Relapse! our most feared enemy.

We know the score and we play
to win.

Fighting a losing battle in the
cities of sin.

Our only comfort our only friend.

Bitter sweet we can not pretend.

So inviting like a cuppa soup
hug.

They see our eyes and label us
thugs.

Its a war on drugs we can see
the truth.

These are statements from a
wasted youth.

Time we grow and kick the habit.

Show us support we will grab it.

Don't expect miracles right
away although we would have it
that way.

See that we are just like you,
and pray for better days
