Notes About The Poem

War

evening news
in every land
shadows of war~

even the songbirds
have dissappeared.

***

protestors ~
in the garbage
photos of the lost,

prayers
rising to heaven.

***

unheard
the cries of children
and old men

beneath the sounds
of weapon fire.

***

the blood
of innocence
paints floorboards,

no passover
for the lambs.

***

tattoos of evil
find evil again
cycles repeat,

the question:
why?

Enjoyed some great lines in your poem on a tough topic. And thinking about the 'why' at the end, it seems in the far past, all empires grew by taking over other areas(more gold). Now, they use pure debt made out of paper money, or digital, created out of thin air. They then buy as much as they can, but now the debt's due; the paper has no more value. But indebted empires(moneyed men) don't go down without a fight; and everyone blindly does their fighting and they all lose.
