War

You will not get the best of me,
I WILL be the victorious one.
My determination rages strongly
Because the war is not yet won.

This battle may be yours to claim,
But all bets are on me.
My spirit you cannot maim,
I WILL have the final victory.

My soul is weary and covered with scars.
At times I feel tired and alone.
But my destiny is written in the stars,
The war is not yet won.

You will NOT defeat me,
I WILL be the triumphant one.
I WILL be whole and happy.
This war has just been won.
