Want

Want
I want to be right more than I’m wrong
I want to lead and not just get along
I want to be happy more than I’m sad
I want to be good more than I’m ever bad
I want to be looked at with some kind of respect
I want to surprise everyone as more than they’d expect
I want to be thought of as a special kind of friend
I want to be loved and cared for until the very end
I want to give love and not care about the results
I want to receive compliments much more than insults
I want to be me more than anybody else
I want to accept others so they can be themselves
I want to be rich, but I know money's not the way
I want to count all of my blessings each and every day
I want my team to win, but surely won’t die if they lose
I want to make my choices and be content with what I choose
I want to be in the present and live just for today
I want to desire a future and let the past go on its way
