Walls Have Eyes

Now I can see the sort of fool I am,
That let you walk away with no goodbyes.
So softly through your hair my fingers ran,
So deeply did I gaze into your eyes.
Now everywhere I look I see your face
And mourn again the loss of your embrace.

The eyes can be tricky..... It takes empathy to see through them...
