Wall Hangings

On your walls hang all these degrees
First thing everybody sees
Hanging on the wall so proud
Quietly hanging there so loud
Look at me
This is what I be
Chin held up with pride
In for such a ride
Look at me
I'm something to see
But the truth be known
From all the evidence shown
Doesn't make you a hero
They mean less than zero
Hanging on your wall
They have no value at all
It's how they are used
Not Abused
Used to help another
When life starts to smother
For the betterment of someone other than you
My words are true
Use them for good
That this be understood
Use them for self gain
Their just a stain
Of no value at all
Just words hanging on your wall
