Walking With God
Some of us are in the chapel
Hearing the preacher from the pew
Some of us are flipping channels
memes on social media and listen on You Tube
Some don't even take time to wonder
Some don't even think it's true
If you asked me, "Do I trust my father?"
"I'm doing the best that I can do"
"Was the miracle when He walked on water?
Or was the miracle not falling through?"
I answered, "For first time in my life
You know I haven't got a clue"
And do you remember when he said
"In 3 days I'll rise up from the dead"
It was all a little hard to believe for me
until the day he did
I asked him, "Lord, how can I follow you?"
He said, "All you need is faith
But before you go, just let me say
It's not an easy road to take
Every sign you see will point the other way
So, walk not by sight but by faith
And it's not without it's pain
You may find your heart is broken
Your reality bust wide open
And your doubts are overflowin'
But remember this is the road you've chosen
I asked. 'Why's it have to be that way?
And it almost hurt to hear him say
"Because in order appreciate the son
You're gonna need a little rain
It's you're choice to make"
I said, "What will I need to bring?"
My son, you won't need a thing
"No shoes?"
I'll give you wings
"First aid?"
Today by grace you have been saved
