Walking Through An Impoverished Neighborhood
Streets littered with garbage that feeds flies,
graffiti on walls, not definately art designs;
I am too jittery to look around, it's very unwise
to drift on these sidewalks sparking with fire.
The piles of litter feeds rats even during daytime,
this section of the city is too dangerous to describe;
the presence of cops is minimal, they fear shootings
young adults smoke K2 * and pass out within minutes.
This neighborhood is always shown on the six o' clock news,
it could be robbery, stabbing, harassment, rape and murder;
there's a predator waiting for kids by the restaurant Bar,
they may not return home after a hang-out with friends.
People living here, must rebel and clean up this horrible mess;
garbage brings more crime and night ladies on high heels,
let them dispose of this filth and bring life to the streets...
that cathedral with the image of Christ awaits all repentants..
Take back your streets and put an end to corruption and profits
march down City Hall and show your concern for safety;
livelihood is something we all desire, it prevents poverty,
any society that scurries by ignoring filth deserves what it gets.
