Walking At Night
Walking along the cool shore, sand clinging to my bare feet,
I look up at the moon, shining down upon me,
Gently close my eyes, the light shinning through,
I hear the ocean, and my mind wanders back to you,
My bare ankles are smooth, and moist with the spray
Of the cool water, springing up where it dare not during the day,
My breath is quiet, and calming, and so very deep
With salt in my lungs, and in the dark water at my feet,
I sigh with the happiness, the peace that it brings,
Of walking at night on the shore of the beach.
