Walk Way To Heaven

Death was upon these rugged hands, a coldness I had not yet shaken. Of all the places and foreign lands, this voyage begins when I next awaken. My eyes grew drier each fleeting hour, and this is where I first saw the gate. The last few pills that seemed so sour, fell back down onto my emptied plate. A grit filled lane lighted up my mind, illuminating sunshine on this grassy plane. My new body ached to somewhere find, some creature or being that could explain. The rolling azure skies seemed unspoken, the horizon met the earth at a distance. Miles of wooded welcome which was broken, made me question my very own existence. Suddenly, there came a voice so deep, that it swirled around into a single cloud. Sadness overcame me and I started to weep, as shadows walked passed me into a crowd. Murmurs of heaven and the angels divine, filled my breath with sweet benevolence. I was amazed at the marvelous design, as I could connect it with my every sense. My foot fell forward and joined the rest, down this path of which no one strays. The weight felt lifted off of my chest, walking joyfully to the end of my days.
