Walk Away

The lonely footsteps mark her way
as she left behind her partner today
She knew that there was more she should say
but somehow could not find the way
Soft breezes lick upon her cheek
caress the tear that flows so meek
Sliding a tear across the virgin skin
Glistening sign of her pain within
A million dreams live behind her eyes
But always a smile be her disguise
No company of a stranger shall she seek
Don’t look for her don’t even peek
For all that she leaves is the whisper and sigh
of a girl who finds it time to say goodbye

*not sure how long it is since I have written anything......just a nice gentle one to get going again. :)

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
