Waking To Fight Death

Waking up I keep asking myself why?
I must stop and breath deep,
There is no reason to cry.
I will wipe any tear from my eye
As I see that I am here in my bed,
All of these emotions that I felt
Was I really just asleep
All the reasons for these thoughts
They couldn't all be in my head
There is no reason die

I - must step back and see
I - must watch over everything in sight
I - must look forward and see what's to be
I - must prepare to fight

As the day begins
I am running from the night
I continue to run throughout the pathways in my mind
Not knowing what I wish to find
Maybe someplace where I can lay my head and hide
After a moment of thought I begin to realize
I don't know what I am running from
The roads in my head they never end
There is nothing to run from and
There is no where to run or hide
Now I must turn and stand with open eyes
Fighting death, there is no reason to die

I - must step back and see
I - must watch over everything in sight
I - must look forward and see what's to be
I - must prepare to fight
