Waking
I awoke inside a place;
a place that has carried me,
a fortress of delicacy,
where my angels live,
and my limitations die.
I awoke today
in a secret place;
a place where he lives,
where he resides.
His eyes are a bluer mine,
and a timeless kind.
I awoke today in a familiar place,
a place my soul exists.
Until I awoke, he could not
acknowledge my presence.
Then I said to him,
"What are you to me?"
He said,
"I am your body."
